These pretty porcelain hearts have a touch of luxury from their 22k gold or platinum dip.
The hearts are hand formed from soft porcelain which has been fired, refined, glazed and fired again and then gold has been added and sealed to the surface by firing in the kiln for a third time. The process involves time, care and attention to detail.
The hearts measure 8mm across at the widest point. The gold vermeil or sterling silver hoops are 12mm in diameter.
What is gold vermeil? (pronounced ver-may) A high-quality form of gold plating in which a thick layer of gold is coated upon sterling silver.
